"Everything. We've been before and we really like everything about it. It's such a friendly place and the owner and the couple who oversee the property are so helpful and caring."

There's nothing that we don't like. We love to walk and adore the narrow streets. The location is central but the geography of Bang Tao means that there's always a good walk to get to our favourite places.

"We loved this place - set out in the middle of the rain forest with little other than toucans, howler monkeys, bats and agouti for company. I admit that if you are looking for a bland, all inclusive resort - La Ceiba may not be for you. But if you you want to sleep in the rainforest then this place is beyond perfect. There's a decent track about 400m long from where you park to the accommodation. It is lit at night - watch out for snakes and you'll definitely see frogs."

Just a suggestion - you should promote the work of the Jaguar Rescue Center more. We stayed here partly because the money is used to help wildlife - but many people may not make that connection and so may not go and visit the JRC

"First of all hosts are just amazing people! Location was great, away from crowd with amazing grass fields where our dogs could run all day long. I mean it was generally great experience but one again, HOSTS ARE AMAZING! :)"

Well weather wasn't in our favor those days, but even that didn't ruin our holiday. We stayed inside , next to fireplace, watching rain/snow outside :)

Such a beautiful colourful - African Style accommodation. delicious breakfast, clean room and a beautiful exotic garden. The all the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. "Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.
