It is a container type of property, so we can hear the foot steps of people upstairs and they were very noisy, felt like elephants are walking on the roof!

"Artun Guesthouse was a hidden gem on our trip. Well maintained cottage, with Weber barbecue on terrace, great view, small lake and kayak free of charge. Owners were very nice and friendly. Price performance was the best we got on our 17 days long trip in Iceland."

"We absolutely loved our stay! The house was spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable for all 12 of us. There were plenty of areas to relax and spend time together, and the kitchen was perfect for cooking big family meals. When we had a couple of minor issues, the hosts responded instantly and resolved everything right away. During our stay, there was heavy snowfall, and they kindly kept the driveway and paths clear for us, which made such a difference. The location was ideal; peaceful and a little outside the city, which made it perfect for watching the Northern Lights. We were lucky enough to see them on four of our seven nights, even from the hot tub surrounded by snow! We couldn’t have chosen a better place to experience such a magical country. Thank you for everything!"

The only very minor suggestion would be to provide a larger kettle. With 12 of us all drinking tea and coffee, the small one (more like a camping kettle) wasn’t quite enough. A bigger kettle would be perfect for a house this size!

"We were warmly welcomed by the owner’s dogs — incredibly cute and very cuddly. One of them even showed us a little trick with a ball on a rope, which was absolutely adorable and immediately created a lovely atmosphere. The owner herself is exceptionally kind and caring, and she deserves the biggest thanks. Knowing how important it was for us to see the Northern Lights, she ran out of the house in the middle of the night in her bathrobe just to let us know they were visible. It was an unforgettable, almost magical experience. The rooms are cozy, clean, and very comfortable. There is also a hot tub, which is a great addition and makes the stay even more enjoyable. I truly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back!"
