"If I were the Michelin commissioner, I would award Happy Villa with three stars: Worth for an independent tour. This place has everything, plus your host will make you feel at home. Our stay was simply too short to enjoy all the options this accommodation offers. It is also positioned well for island exploration. Oh, and not mentioning superb breakfast starting with a healthy shot. You will be in good hands and with a full stack of options for every day of exploration of charming Dominica."

"I had a wonderful stay in Harmony Villa. Carla, the lovely host, helped me arrange beautiful hikes across the island and she introduced me to lovely people. Do not hesitate to book your stay with her. And when, after a magnificent day in the mountains, you return to the villa, and Carla offers you her infamous rum punch, sit down and listen to the her vibrant stories of an amazing family history on this most beautiful of eastern Caribbean islands."

"A wonderful stay in a remote location in the fairly cool mountains of Dominica. The most lovely hosts, a wonderful, healthy breakfast on a terrace in the green jungle. You feel really welcome. Don’t miss Carla‘s recommendations if she is around."

"It was amazing! Probably our favorite guest house we have ever been to. Location is impeccable, you wake up seeing the sea, feeling the breeze through the open window. Perfect relaxation!! Bed is wonderful, not as hard as often in the region. Everything you need is in the spacious room (water kettle, microwave, etc). Next door is a supermarket and a breakfast spot. On the ground floor there is a great restaurant (taste the fried shrimp!). Last but not least: Christine is a wonderful host, with great recommendations in the region and beyond. We can highly recommend!"

"We had a great stay at Veranda View. Hermine is great to talk to! The location is wonderful, we didn't swim, however it was an easy walk to the store for basics and restaurants and bars (we loved Unique Seaview Restaurant). There was a rooster crowing from 2 am on but who knows, maybe it'll be in the pot by the time others stay! Calibishie was a great place to stay as a home base, easy drives (minus the numerous potholes and narrow roads) to #1 Beach, Batibou Bay, Baw Nef Falls, Chaudiere Pool, Morne Diablotins hike. Bonus being close to the airport! Also of note, the windows are not glass, just bars and shutters, so you have to use the mosquito netting at night to keep bugs off of you. It cools off enough that it is comfortable at night (we were there in March). Also there is a warm shower hallelujah!"
