"Saint-Macaire is a very small, local, beautiful village. As it is so small, there are only a few cafes and restaurants, but well worth the trip for one night. If you go, you must stay here! Firstly, the location was right in the centre of the village, so everything you wanted to see was within a 5 minute walk. Pascale the host gave us a local walking map, recommendations for restaurants, helped us call them for bookings (as we don't speak French) and even gave us a ride to the train station the next day (as we were training from Langon). He also prepared a lovely breakfast with homemade marmalade & honey. Overall it was an amazing stay, and Pascale made it even better :)"

"The whole experience of the B&B was excellent. We were warmly greeted and given bottles of cold water - very much appreciated given the very warm weather. The breakfast was excellent. Although there is no parking with the property, there was no problem parking close to the property."

"We just needed somewhere to stop on the way but found this little gem. Fantastic big room, comfortable bed, quiet. The medieval village is beautiful and well worth exploring. Hosts were lovely. Yes the steps are a challenge, but we left the suitcase in the car and just took day packs up."

"We loved our time at Gîte Orget. Pascal and Emmanuelle were wonderful hosts - welcoming and kind. Very grateful for the help with arranging to see a vineyard. The breakfast provided on each of the three days we stayed was delicious. The homemade marmalade and honey was particularly nice. The room was lovely and well decorated. Despite the heat outside, it was nice and airy. We slept very well. Saint Macaire is a beautiful village, full of character and incredible traditional architecture. There are several restaurants and bars in the town where you can sample the local wine - which must be done. Every meal we had was lovely. Particularly the Le Medieval Restaurant. Would definitely return here. Merci!"

"Celkom pekné, moderné studio, výborná komunikacia pred a pocas ubytovania,.dobré a rychle data cez Wi-fi, prekvapil Netflix. Sice dosť ďaleko od verejnej pláže a pobrežia Monaca, ale pár krat to nebol problém. Boli sme spokoni s pobytom a užili si Monaco."

"The apartment was warm, comfortable and very well-equipped. Delphine was a great host and she was very flexible, even kindly letting us leave our bags for a few hours after check-out. The location was fantastic, just minutes from the supermarket, ski shops and the bus stop. We'd very happily stay here again!"

"Sehr schönes und gemütliches Appartment. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, separates Schlafzimmer und WC, Balkon mit Blick auf Palmen und die Berge. Kieselstrand nur 10 min zu Fuß, wer Sandstrand mag, hat es nicht weit zu den Buchten in Antibes. Eigener, geräumiger Parkplatz war auch super. Es gibt 3 nette Bäckereien fußläufig, auch ein paar Imbissse und Apotheke. Sehr angenehme, nicht so touristische Gegend."
