"The place is not a 5-star guest house, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were better than some of the hotels I have stayed in across Africa. My bed was even a TV bed — I connected my MP3 player and listened to music through the bed speakers… great experience! The location is excellent, with the airport just a stone’s throw away. The staff even went out to buy takeaway food for me when I requested it, which I really appreciated. I do wish they had WiFi, but I understand they may be keeping their costs down. However, I was given a pre-loaded SIM card to make calls to my family, which was a thoughtful gesture."

As all activities and transport are organized by the host, I sometimes had to wait quite long time for the driver to arrive. This was not the hosts fault, but it is important to know when planning a trip to Tanna.

It's hard to escape noise in this part of the world. There was some very loud music playing at local bars at night. We had to kill a lot of mosquitos

"Good location by the sea which is not far from the main street of Palau where you can find restaurants and groceries (less than 10 minutes walking). Huge room and comfy beds. The staff is really friendly and he dropped us off at the airport. No complaints"

No filters for the coffee maker. The streets are in bad shape once you drop off the Main Street to get to the house.

"Had an amazing stay at Akunamatata and would highly recommend it. The house was clean and spacious and only a few minutes from the Main Street of Grand Case and the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed while away. The outdoor area was relaxing and the bed very comfortable. Although we were sharing the house with other people it was a perfect place to stay. Pokiaľ cestujete autom, rozhodne Vám nebude vadiť vyjsť pár ulíc hore, aby ste potom mohli mať počas ubytovania a raňajok exkluzívny výhľad na mestečko Wadi Musa. Auto sa dá bez problémov nechať na parkovisku, ktoré je hneď vedľa hotela. Boli sme veľmi milo prekvapení akú kvalitu ubytovania sme dostali za tak nízku cenu. Teplá voda, fungujúca WiFi aj klimatizácia bola samozrejmosťou (počas pobytu v inom meste v Jordánsku sme mali aj 3x drahšie ubytovanie bez teplej vody as vypnutou WiFi aj klimatizáciu). Nesmiem zabudnúť na veľmi príjemnú a milú obsluhu na recepcii."

"Although a 30-40 minute bus ride from Chania town, Summer Lodge is a Fantastic place if you want to be away from the busy places. A peaceful and pretty hotel with a Lovely vibe...There are places nearby to get food and drink and the mostly deserted beach is just a few minutes walk away. The bus stops are close by also - So nothing was ever too much effort. The owners of the property were kind, chatty and helpful. And last but not least the two cats at the hotel were a Joy to be around !! If I get the chance to go back to Chania I would definitely stay at this hotel again !9"

Being near the main road, although handy can be a bit noisy at times but it never bothered me too much. The individual refrigerator in the room was very noisy and I did wake up to it a couple of times.
