Residence Acanto has charming interiors, typical of the Aeolian Islands, and a swimming pool with hot tub. It is 5 minutes' walk from Lipari port and 20 minutes away from the beach on foot. Apartments have a classic design with tiled floors and wrought iron beds. All air-conditioned, they also feature a TV, fully equipped kitchenette and a private patio area. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Breakfast features a number of homemade cakes and fresh fruit, all typical of Lipari and the neighbouring islands. Drinks from the bar can be enjoyed out on the terrace. Set on the island of Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian group, the residence has excellent bus links around the island. Boats to Sicily's mainland leave regularly throughout the day.

No towels provided for pool/beach and comment to say do not take room towels to pool/ beach. Comment on rules re makeup not to be left on towels, supply cotton balls or similar would be good."

"It was a small apartment and so had gas cooking facilities which was so nice to heat water for a cup of tea and also to fry something for dinner instead of eating out. The breakfast was lovely with many delicious cakes as well as usual continental breakfast. The waitress was delightful and encouraged me to practise my limited Italian on her with great patience. Giovanni who ran the place was particularly helpful especially when my husband needed to go to hospital and arranged taxi service for us. He was genuinely concerned for his welfare. He was happy to take us to the ferry when leaving when the taxi wasn't available. Can't rate them high enough."

"Residence Acanto is a beautiful accommodation! A short walk from the port, town, and Marina Corta, there is no shortage of walkable places to go. The residence is spacious, the breakfasts are delicious with a broad variety of options, and the Giuseppe is more than happy to assist with planning day to day activities, as well as providing a brochure of recommendations. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a central location to holiday in Lipari!"

"We loved this place. We were in a one bedroom apartment with a terrace and we thought it was delightful. It had a slightly old fashioned air but so does our own home! . It would be tricky if you wanted to self cater but we only wanted to make a cup of tea, and it was great for that. The breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful. The location is great. It had everything we wanted."
