The local guide was not the best

"This accommodation is surrounded by beautiful scenery and cafes with beautiful scenery. It’s much recommended for tourist who is looking for quiet and peaceful stay. There is warmer installed under the wooden flooring so it is very comfortable to sleep on during winter. Our stay became more interesting in the morning when the host enthusiastically prepared us a tableful of breakfast. She prepared costumes for the children and initiated to take photos for us within the house and at the beautiful yard."

I am very particular with cleanliness so I didn’t feel that the bedding and pillows were very fresh. The place is actually not difficult to find but we tried taking a bus from Yeonsinnae Station and we took more than an hour to look for the bus stop with the bus that took us up to Eunpyeong area.

"Nice forest hut on the edge of a forest - 10 min to a beach by foot. You are really almost in the middle of nature here. The forest was full of blackberries when we were there. The kitchenette corner is smallish but sufficient to make a meal for a family of four."

It may be a bit challenging to find the right road leading to the house, but we managed. Go past the road leading to the two storey apartment houses, and turn to the left of the warehouse-like structure which is further on the road.

"We spent a few days in spacious bungalows. We were picked up by taxi from the airport and quickly arrived at our accommodation, where Cynthia was waiting for us. Cynthia provided us with detailed information about the property (water, safety, etc.) and shared interesting facts about the area (shops, restaurants, and the beach). The bungalows have a well-equipped kitchenette and a large terrace, from which we could admire the starry sky in the evenings. In the morning, we were served a delicious breakfast, including homemade yogurt and jam. The morning conversations with Cynthia during breakfast were wonderful. The guesthouse also offered free rental of easy-to-use bicycles. We have fond memories of our lazy days on the atoll, and we highly recommend this guesthouse."

The guesthouse is no longer the newest, but that's why it has its own atmosphere.

"Thank you for a wonderful stay at La Vielle, the setting was stunning, our cottage tranquil and gorgeous, and the staff so friendly and accomodating. We loved walking the trails, visiting the plunge pool with the amazing vista, and the food was excellent. The best place I've stayed in Mauritius."

There was nothing we didn't like it was perfect!

"It was quirky and a lovely cosy space to base ourselves. Very close to the airport and next to the harbour in the town. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The loft bed was something different too and cosy and comfortable. The owner was great and friendly. We had absolutely no issues and hope to go again someday."

"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

"Veľmi pekné prostredie, vodná jama pre pozorovanie zvierat bola výnimočná. Izba bola pohodlná, čistá, veĺmi pekne zariadená. V areáli bol aj celkom veľký bazén. Jedlo bolo vynikajúce. Personál veľmi ochotný."

"The room was beautiful opening up to a sea view. Could go kayaking from just outside the room. The lodge had kayaks and life jackets available to guests. Could also go fishing or swimming - just idyllic! The staff were also really helpful. I would most definitely stay here again."

I can’t think of anything i didn’t like

"We spent the first night of our round trip through the north-west of Argentina here. It was a great start. Claudia gave us a very warm welcome. She speaks good English. The cabana was lovingly furnished and we felt at home. We cooked dinner in the evening and had breakfast on the small terrace next to the entrance in the morning. The gardens are well worth a visit! Thank you Claudia :)"
