"I would highly recommend Hotel New Elia for your stay in Pokhara. It has a fantastic location. My room was super clean, comfortable and very big. The view from the balcony was lovely. The staff are very kind and helpful. I was able to get laundry done, book a cable car ride and leave my rucksack for 2 nights."

"Honestly, Hotel Meriken is one of the best spots I’ve stayed at in Nepal. From the moment I walked in, the welcome was so warm (and the welcome drink was a great touch!). My room was flawless, literally not a single thing to complain about. Also, if you’re a foodie, you’ll love it here; the breakfast was incredible and there were so many options. Super clean, super welcoming."

The reception area looked a bit unorganised , and a black board with chalk sign was not representing the hotel well , as you walked in .

The shower only got luke warm and the Windows have thin glass so it can get a bit noisy. We left very early so no issue for us.

"I was fortunate that it was school holidays, and Sanvi (11 years) was free to take me on "guided" walking tours of the surrounding fields and into the town. I loved being included in the family activities and meals and enjoyed playing with the 18 month old baby. I was very relaxed. I was looking for a peaceful location to take a breath and rest on my travels. The whole family were very supportive of my needs. The shower was HOT. Yay!!! AND, there is a heat pump/ aircon unit in the bedroom. Wow!! We went on a family trip to Bhaktapur Dunbar Square, which I enjoyed very much. Overall, I felt safe and supported and included."

The only thing I might say is that in my country, I am accustomed to a softer bed. In Nepal, the beds are hard, and as I am in Nepal, I accept this.
